EPL (journal)
''EPL'' is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by EDP Sciences, IOP Publishing and the Italian Physical Society on behalf of the European Physical Society and 17 other European physical societies. Prior to 1 January 2007 it was known as ''Europhysics Letters''.
== Scope ==
EPL publishes original letters in all areas of physics, ranging from condensed matter topics and interdisciplinary research to astrophysics, geophysics, and plasma and fusion sciences, including those with application potential. The journal communicates new results and findings that merit rapid publication. EPL also publishes comments on letters previously published in the journal.
EPL is focused on novel, scientifically significant, developing areas of science, including high-profile topics such as quantum simulators, topological insulators, metamaterials, soft matter, high-energy physics, and plasma physics and fusion sciences, as well as interdisciplinary areas such as bio-physics and medical-physics topics.〔http://ej.iop.org/pdf/pricing/catalogue2013.pdf〕
